He has also been successful in taking companies from their formative stages through to development, financing and initial public offering. Jim spearheaded the development of Gresham Resources Inc., a leading junior oil and gas company with $20 million in annual revenues. In 2002, Alberta-based True Energy Inc. acquired Gresham.
Jim has participated in raising over $100 million in capital financing for Canadian public companies and is a principal of Ascenta Capital Partners Inc. and Ascenta Ventures, sister companies of Ascenta Finance.

| Steve Stakiw Consulting Geologist | | | Steve Stakiw BSc (Geology) has been involved in many facets of the mining and mineral exploration industry, both in Canada and internationally, for more than 20 years. In addition to several years in the field, he has research and finance market experience and was involved in the formation of an industry-leading mining information service. Steve's diverse range of experience also includes serving as the western editor of The Northern Miner from 2006 to 2008.

| Donald Farris Senior Strategic Advisor | | | Don Farris has over twenty-five years of experience in the investment management industry. Currently, Don is a managing director of Manhattan Pacific Partners (MPP), a Los Angeles based private equity firm he co-founded with Garry Wilson (Retired Chairman of Northwest Airlines and prior CFO of Disney and the Marriott Group) and Al Boyer (former Co-Managing Partner of Brierley Investments). Since its incorporation in 2009, MPP has consistently surpassed S&P averages, beating the S&P by 100% in 2009 and 150% in 2010. Don is also a Founding Partner and Director of Frontier Investment Management, an industry leading super-endowment fund based in London with over $700 million in assets under management.
Prior to the founding of Frontier and MPP, Don was instrumental in the creation of Courage Capital Management, a Nashville based private equity firm Don co-founded in 1998 and built into a billion dollar hedge fund over the next nine years. Leveraging the early support of the Ingram family, Courage Capital was selected as an investment manager by many of the world's most respected pension funds, endowments and high net worth investors.
Upon graduating from Harvard Business School in 1992, Don was hired as one the first executives at Canyon Partners Capital Management, a $21 billion credit-driven investment management company. Acting as a Senior Vice President and working directly with the firm's founders, Josh Freedman and Mitch Julius, Don was responsible for the origination, analysis and buy recommendations of event-driven equity opportunities and high-yield debt investments.
Prior to attending Harvard University, Don ran the U.S. money market trading desk at Scotiabank/McLeod, Young, Weir in Toronto. Promoted at age 25, Don became the 3rd youngest Vice President in the firm's history and, under the mentorship of legendary Canadian financier, Austin Taylor, Don helped take the department from being #8 in market share to #2 in two years.
Don was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. Being the member of a third-generation mining exploration family, Don spent his summers on oil rigs and in mines in Alaska, the Yukon, California and Arizona. Don lives in Manattan Beach, California, but returns often to Canada to pursue his passion for skiing at Whistler and heli-skiing in the Canadian Rockies. |
