Marshall Farris
Principal
Marshall Farris, a co-founder and principal of Ascenta Finance, has over 17 years of experience assisting public and private companies with corporate operations, capital development, investor relations and regulatory compliance activities. He has thus far participated in raising over $150 million in capital financing for public companies.

Marshall has an extensive network of contacts in the financial community and is skilled in identifying compelling business opportunities for investors and companies. He also co-founded Ascenta Finance's sister companies: Ascenta Capital Partners Inc., which specializes in providing investor relations services, and Ascenta Ventures, which specializes in corporate creation. In addition, he is a co-founder of Philippine Metals Corp. and is a former director of Mindoro Resources Ltd. (TSXV: MIO) and Panoro Minerals Ltd. (TSXV: PML).

Jim Glass
Principal
Jim Glass brings a diversified business background to Ascenta Finance, which includes the management, operation and administration of public companies. He has also been successful in taking companies from their formative stages through to development, financing and initial public offering. Jim spearheaded the development of Gresham Resources Inc., a leading junior oil and gas company with $20 million in annual revenues. In 2002, Alberta-based True Energy Inc. acquired Gresham.

Jim has participated in raising over $100 million in capital financing for Canadian public companies and is a principal of Ascenta Capital Partners Inc. and Ascenta Ventures, sister companies of Ascenta Finance.

Mark Hunter
Principal
Mark Hunter spent five years in corporate communications in Japan with Denso Corporation, a Fortune 500 manufacturer in the automotive sector. Working in both Japanese and English, Mark coordinated the company's corporate communications, investor relations and media relations activities for international audiences; he also served as the company's communications liaison to more than 20 Denso subsidiaries around the world.

Mark joined the Ascenta Group of Companies as a principal in 2001 where he has been primarily responsibility for general operations and carried a shared responsibility for business development. Most recently Mark has been active with Ascenta Finance where he plays a key role in the operations and compliance side of the business.

Mark is a graduate of Queens University, with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Studies, and a member of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.

Tracy Mabone
Investor Management and Communications
Tracy Mabone has over 15 years of experience in the legal and financial industries. She works closely with the Compliance Officer to ensure Ascenta Finance meets all compliance regulations. Tracy is a key contact for investors and facilitates the closing of financings for the firm. She also holds primary responsibility for the assembly and management of all due diligence materials.

Peter M. Clausi
Chief Compliance Officer
Peter M. Clausi is well-known within Canada's capital markets for his ability to craft elegant solutions to complicated issues. He is an Ontario lawyer and the president of Maplegrow Capital, a Canadian financial services provider. He sits on the advisory board of Merge Inc. and works with Brant Capital Partners in Burlington, Ontario. In addition to acting as in-house counsel to limited market dealers and a mortgage broker, Peter has performed Investment Banking services for an IDA member firm and co-founded an Ontario mutual fund. He spent 5 years on the board of a Barbados-based asset management company. Peter believes that there is a consensus-based solution to every problem.

Peter has advised companies (both public and private), their directors and their shareholders in diverse sectors including technology, oil and gas, mining, real estate, manufacturing, environmental remediation, consumer goods, food processing and financial services. He has lectured at post-secondary institutions in southern Ontario, including the University of Toronto, Niagara College, Sheridan College, Humber College, the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University and the Law Society of Upper Canada. Peter is an expert in his field and has appeared on BNN a number of times.

Steve Stakiw
Consulting Geologist
Steve Stakiw BSc (Geology) has been involved in many facets of the mining and mineral exploration industry, both in Canada and internationally, for more than 20 years. In addition to several years in the field, he has research and finance market experience and was involved in the formation of an industry-leading mining information service. Steve's diverse range of experience also includes serving as the western editor of The Northern Miner from 2006 to 2008.

Steve works with Ascenta Finance Corp. and Ascenta Capital Partners Inc. in an advisory role. He provides in-depth background research on current and prospective mining industry clients and ongoing analysis and review of developments within individual companies and throughout the industry.
